The 2027 auction
Barrett-Jackson’s flagship Scottsdale auction returns to WestWorld from January 23 to 31, 2027, expanded to nine days for the first time. Roughly 2,000 vehicles cross the block, from muscle cars and hot rods to modern exotics and charity lots that draw seven-figure bids, alongside a vast exhibitor pavilion, automaker ride-and-drive experiences, live music and the nightly primetime auction sessions broadcast on television. Even for people who are not buying, it is one of the most entertaining spectacles in Arizona.
Getting to WestWorld
WestWorld sits in north Scottsdale at 16601 N Pima Rd, next to Loop 101. From Hideaway it is a 17-minute drive without traffic: Indian School Road east to the 101, north to Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard or Bell Road. During the auction, allow 25 to 35 minutes, more on the weekend prime-time sessions, and expect paid parking in the on-site lots with shuttles from the outer areas. Rideshare works well; set the return pickup for the designated zone.
The week in Scottsdale
Auction Week is the unofficial name for late January, when Barrett-Jackson shares the calendar with other collector auctions across the Valley, the Celebration of Fine Art (open daily from January 16), the run-up to the WM Phoenix Open (February 8 to 14) and Western Week in Old Town, ending with the Parada del Sol parade on February 6. Restaurants and hotels are full, so booking in the fall is normal.
Why stay near Old Town
The auction is a daytime and early-evening event; the city’s restaurants and nightlife are in Old Town, a 14-minute walk from Hideaway. Two covered parking spaces mean the collector you drove in, or the rental you picked up at Sky Harbor, is shaded and off the street. With three bedrooms and a sleeper sofa (full-size luxury comfort mattress), the house works for a group of friends, a family with the grandfather who has been going since the 1970s, or a dealer’s team that needs separate rooms and a kitchen for early mornings.
