At Hideaway, we don't just allow dogs. We love them. We know a Scottsdale getaway is even better when your four-legged family members get to come along.
Our location makes traveling with your dog especially easy. With convenient access to the nearby greenbelt, morning walks, sunset strolls and quick trips outside are simple and convenient.
After a day exploring Old Town, golfing, shopping or soaking up the Arizona sunshine, come home, kick off your shoes and settle in together.
No need to find a sitter. Pack the leash. Your dog is coming to Scottsdale, too.
The pet policy, in full
- Up to 2 pets per stay, each under 35 pounds.
- $100 per pet, added to the reservation. Add your pets when you book so housekeeping is planned.
- Pets are welcome throughout the home and on the walled patio; the community pool is people only.
- Leash rules apply on the greenbelts, and please pick up after your dog; it is a residential HOA community.
- Dogs should not be left alone in the home for long stretches or allowed to bark for long periods, out of respect for neighbors on both sides.
Why it works for dogs
Most pet-friendly Scottsdale rentals put you in a condo tower with an elevator and a strip of gravel, or a house so far north that every walk is a drive. Casa Granada East is a low-rise townhouse community with lawns, mature trees and walking paths between the buildings, so the first walk of the day starts at the front door. The patio is enclosed for off-leash time while you grill, and the carport means the dog gets from the car to the house in fifteen steps on a hot afternoon.
Where to go with your dog
Chaparral Park dog park
5401 N Hayden Rd, a five-minute drive or a 32-minute walk. Fenced off-leash areas for large and small dogs, a lake path for the on-leash loop, and shade. Go early in summer.
The canal path
The Arizona Canal multi-use path runs through the Scottsdale Waterfront, a 20-minute walk away, and continues for miles in both directions. Flat, paved, lit in the Waterfront stretch.
Old Town patios
Many Old Town restaurants welcome dogs on their patios, and there are dozens of patios, from coffee at Sweet Dee’s to happy hour on Stetson Drive. Call ahead; policies vary by restaurant and time of day.
Papago Park
An 11-minute drive. Easy, scenic trails around the buttes and the Hole-in-the-Rock, with wide paths that suit older dogs. Leash required.
Camelback and the preserve
Camelback Mountain’s summit trails are steep, rocky and hot; they are not a good idea for most dogs. The McDowell Sonoran Preserve’s Gateway Loop, 25 minutes north, is the better dog hike in cool months.
Supplies and vets
Sprouts (nine-minute walk) carries basics. Pet stores and veterinary clinics cluster along Scottsdale Road and near Fashion Square within ten minutes by car; GoodNight Stay’s 24/7 line can point you to the nearest emergency vet.

Is Hideaway pet-friendly?
Yes. Up to two pets, each under 35 pounds, for a $100 fee per pet, added at booking. Please add your pets to the reservation so the fee is applied and housekeeping is planned. Are there breed or weight restrictions?
Weight, yes: each pet must be under 35 pounds, and the maximum is 2 pets per stay. There is no breed list. If your dog is close to the limit, tell GoodNight Stay when you book.
Is the patio enclosed?
Yes. The back patio is walled, with a gate to the carport, so dogs can be outside with you off leash while you cook. Please keep the gate closed and supervise; it is a residential community with other pets and children.
Are dogs allowed at the community pool?
No. The pool and pool deck are for people only, under the HOA rules. Dogs are welcome on the greenbelts and walking paths on leash.
What should I bring for my dog?
Food and bowls, a bed or crate if your dog is used to one, and towels for muddy paws after the canal path. The home does not stock pet supplies. Sprouts (nine minutes on foot) and the pet stores along Scottsdale Road cover anything you forget.
