The Entertainment District
Everything people mean by Scottsdale nightlife happens in about four square blocks south of Camelback Road, between Scottsdale Road and 75th Street, along Saddlebag Trail, Indian Plaza, Stetson Drive and Sixth Avenue. On a Friday or Saturday night the streets are closed to cars and the crowd moves between rooftops, patios and clubs until 2 AM. From Hideaway, walk west on Indian School Road, turn north on 75th Street, and you are in the middle of it in 14 minutes.
The big rooms belong to Riot Hospitality Group: Riot House and El Hefe on Saddlebag Trail, Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row for country and a mechanical bull, and Maya, the pool dayclub that runs weekend afternoons in the warm months. Wasted Grain on Stetson Drive is the live-music venue, with local bands downstairs and a second stage upstairs. Bottled Blonde on Indian Plaza is a beer garden with pizza that turns into a club after dark, and Hi-Fi Kitchen & Cocktails on Saddlebag is the mid-range option with a real kitchen and a big patio.
Historic Old Town after dark
For the other Scottsdale, walk 19 minutes to Main Street. The Rusty Spur Saloon (7245 E Main St) has had live country music and a sawdust floor since 1951 and remains the most Scottsdale bar in Scottsdale. The Fifth Avenue gastropubs, Citizen Public House and FnB, run serious cocktail programs for a slower night, and the Mexican restaurants on Brown Avenue keep the margaritas coming on their patios.
A quieter drink
Within ten minutes on foot, Clancy’s Pub and Boondocks Patio & Grill on Miller Road and 75th Street are the neighborhood options: pool tables, patios, games and no cover. Zipps Sports Grill on Camelback covers the game. And the patio at Hideaway, with a wine fridge inside the door and quiet hours from 10 PM, is the nightcap most guests end on.
Getting home
The walk back is 14 minutes on lit, residential streets with continuous sidewalks, and groups routinely make it together. A rideshare from Saddlebag Trail to Parkway Avenue takes about two minutes; on peak nights, set the pickup a block or two outside the closed streets. Please remember the neighbors: the home is on a residential street with quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM, so bring the volume down at the gate.
Seasonal notes
Spring training (February 19 to March 23, 2027) and the WM Phoenix Open (February 8 to 14) are the peak weeks, when the Entertainment District runs at capacity every night of the week. Nightlife questions
What time do bars close in Scottsdale?
Arizona bars stop serving alcohol at 2 AM, and most Old Town clubs close then. Some restaurants and late-night counters stay open later without alcohol.
How far is Hideaway from the Old Town nightlife?
A 14-minute walk to Saddlebag Trail and Indian Plaza, the center of the Entertainment District, or a two-minute rideshare. Because the home is a residential block east of Miller Road, you get the nightlife without living above it.
Is there a dress code?
Most Entertainment District clubs enforce one on weekend nights: no athletic wear, hats or open-toed shoes for men at the door of the bigger venues. The honky-tonks and neighborhood bars do not care.
