That is the practical genius of the place: you park under cover directly behind the patio, walk gear straight into the kitchen, and the pool and playground are across the greenbelt, close enough to hear the kids and far enough for a quiet coffee.
Bedrooms are all upstairs. The primary suite has a king bed and a bathroom with a tub; the two queen bedrooms each have a smart TV for a kids’ movie night while adults sit on the patio. A full-size refrigerator, a five-burner range and a dishwasher mean breakfast and lunch at home are easy, which is where the savings on a family trip actually come from.

12 minutes by car. One of the largest nonprofit zoos in the country, with a Safari Train and a splash pad for summer. Go at opening in warm months.
Desert Botanical Garden
11 minutes. Trails through cactus gardens, a butterfly pavilion in spring, and Las Noches de las Luminarias in December.
OdySea Aquarium and Butterfly Wonderland
11 minutes at the Talking Stick entertainment district, with an indoor aquarium, a butterfly conservatory and mini golf next door.
Spring training
Scottsdale Stadium is three minutes away; the lawn seats at Salt River Fields (14 minutes) are made for kids who need to move.
Old Town Farmers Market
Saturday mornings October through May, a 14-minute walk. Breakfast burritos, live music, and a dinosaur-sized bag of kettle corn.
Chaparral Park
Five minutes. A lake with ducks, wide lawns, playgrounds and the dog park; the easiest picnic in Scottsdale.

Kids, cribs, tubs and the pool
Is the home good for children?
Yes. A Pack ’n Play and a high chair are provided at no charge (bring your own Pack ’n Play sheets), there is a community playground on the lawn outside, and the carport makes loading kids and gear easy. Additional baby equipment can be rented through GoodNight Stay’s partner as an add-on. Note that the bedrooms are upstairs.
How many people can stay, and what are the beds?
Hideaway sleeps eight: a king bed in the primary suite, queen beds in bedrooms two and three, and a full-size sleeper sofa with a luxury comfort mattress in the living room. All three bedrooms are upstairs and each has its own smart TV. The city limits short-term rentals to six unrelated adults, not counting children.
Is the home suitable for guests with limited mobility?
Partly. The living room, kitchen, dining area, half bath and patio are on the main level, but all three bedrooms and both full bathrooms are upstairs. There is no elevator, so the home is not suitable for guests who cannot use stairs. If you have specific questions about doorways or the shower, ask us before booking.
Is the community pool fenced and is there a lifeguard?
The pool is a community pool under HOA rules and there is no lifeguard. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times, and the pool closes at 10 PM.
Is there a bathtub for small children?
Yes, the primary bathroom has a bathtub as well as a walk-in shower. The second full bath has a walk-in shower only.
